A lovely hike to the top of the Völseggerspitze Peak and to the Tschafonhütte mountain hut located between Rosengarten and Schlern Mountains.

From the parking area near Lavina Bianca (Weißlahnbad) in Val di Tires (Tiersertal) Valley (1,179 m) follow Trail No. 4A, initially on flat roads, to the last houses; then on a wide forest track, slightly uphill, to Wuhnleger meadows (1,402 m); and finally on Trail No. 4, more steeply, through the forest up to the Rifugio Tschafon (Tschafonhütte) mountain hut (1728m, 1.5 hours). From there, go west on Trail No. 9, which is marked and signposted and initially almost flat or slightly uphill, through the woods and later in a couple of steep turns over a boulder-strewn forest road up to the cross on Cima Völsegg (Völseggspitze) Peak (1,834 m; 20 minutes from the hut). Descent: Return using the same trail; about 1.5 hours.
