From Braies along the western end of the lake, turn right into the Val Foresta/Grünwaldtal, to Casera Vecchia/Altkasern. From there part a steeply path up to the high alpine hut Malga Colli Alti/Hochalmhütten. Sign-post: no. 19 Challenge: demanding Tip: Trip to the lake „Lago dei Colli Alti/Hochalmsee“ Easy hike to one of the most beautiful lake of the Dolomites. From the alpine hut „Malga Colli Alti/Hochalmhütten“ following the wide path to the „Giogo di Montecroce/Kreuzjoch“, turn rigth into „Val Lapadures/Lapadurestal“ and then turn left and slightly upward to the beautiful lake. Walking time: 1 hour Sign-post: no. 19, no. 3 Challenge: moderately demanding
