We conserve our energy reserves and first take the Col Pradat cable car up to over 2,000 metres. Not far from the mountain station, in a northerly direction, hiking trail no. 4 begins. We walk to the junction with hiking trail no. 7 and follow this up to the Sassongher-Scharte. We now leave the numbered trails and follow the marked path southwards, which leads over steep steps and along fixed metal ropes to the summit of the Sassongher (2,625 m).
