Destination

Sassongher (2,625 m)

Turn-by-turn directions

We conserve our energy reserves and first take the Col Pradat cable car up to over 2,000 metres. Not far from the mountain station, in a northerly direction, hiking trail no. 4 begins. We walk to the junction with hiking trail no. 7 and follow this up to the Sassongher-Scharte. We now leave the numbered trails and follow the marked path southwards, which leads over steep steps and along fixed metal ropes to the summit of the Sassongher (2,625 m).
All summit conquerors are rewarded with a breathtaking panorama of the Sella Group, the Geisler peaks and the valley basin of Corvara.
