On the entrance of the golf of Olbia

A very simple hike, suited well for families and to avoid during the hot times of the day. The starting point lies at the famous beach of Pittulongu and you can see this excursion as a nice alternative to a day at the beach as well as an exploration tour for some less crowded places of this coast. From the parking area you walk in the direction of the sea, reaching soon the southern end of the beach. Here you follow a small path that rises parallel and only little above the shoreline, at this point east, through the thick shrubbery of myrtle and cistus. To the right at the start of this path you can make out a second path on which you will return to this point. Parallel to the coast you can admire the view over Pittulongu, Capo Figari, the beautiful transparent see, and the island of Tavolara in the direction of the path, being an eye catcher for this entire hike. The path continues to follow the shoreline and turns slightly to the south, remaining around 3-4 m above the cliffs below.
