Beautiful tour from S-Charl through Val Plazer to the Val Müstair Biosphere. The trail leads along the Via Alpina and ends in Müstair. Here it is worth visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the St. Johann Monastery.

Turn-by-turn directions
On this hike you follow the Via Alpina (R68) until shortly before Traufers. From S-Charl, the trail leads you in a south-easterly direction along the valley floor to Plan d'Immez. From here you turn into the Val Plazer. The pass trail leads over the Cruschetta/ S-charljöchl, to the Swiss-Italian border. At first a somewhat steeper descent, it then continues on a pleasant alpine path through the lonely Avignatal valley (with its rare variety of flowers and view of the Ortler) out of the valley in the direction of Traufers. But before you reach Traufers, follow the signs pointing to Müstair on the right.
