Via the Maurerscharte
From Innerpflersch (St. Anton) to Maiern in the Ridnaun Valley

On trail no. 27, which also allows some shortcuts, we hike in the Alrißtal on the Tiroler Höhenweg to the Alrißalm (refreshment stop). It takes about an hour to get there. We have the Wetterspitze in front of us in view. The last 400 metres up to the Maurerscharte are steep and strenuous, the only relief are the available water points on the way to the Maurerscharte (2511 m). An impressive mountain panorama lies before us. The Stubai Alps with Feuerstein, Wildem Freiger, Wildem Pfaff and Zuckerhütl are within reach. After an extensive rest, we descend on trail no. 27, past the rustic Prischeralm über Bergmähder and the steep protective forest to Maiern in the Ridnauntal valley at 1370 m. In bad weather, it is more pleasant and safer to stay on the driveway from the Prischeralm to Maiern. Tip: Take backpack provisions with you on this route.
