Reiterjoch, Mayrl Alm and Satteljoch
Curcu Genovese Verlag
An easy path to a hut and then a path upwards.
From Pampeago (1757 m) you can easily reach the asphalted road in front of the Zischgalm and Ganischgeralm mountain huts by taking the Latemar chairlift. Continue on a flat stretch until you reach the capitol of Passo Pampeago, pass it and always on a small road until you reach the Mayrl Alm. So far the path is very easy and affordable for everyone. If you want to go further, you can take path no. 22 from the Mayrl Alm upwards, then SAT 516, which leads in a southerly direction to the scree slopes below the Latemar. The route offers a wide view üover the entire Pampeago basin. When the descent begins on the wide saddle of the Satteljoch (2121 m), marmots can be observed from above. Shortly before the Satteljoch, a small road leads off in a westerly direction (winter ski slope, SAT 504-521) and a very panoramic diagonal leads back to the mountain station of the Latemar chairlift.
