This hike runs up to Rotstein Knoll and the outdoor Cinema of Rock, a unique observation point
Start out on the cable car that takes you to Verano (Vöran) from Postal (Burgstall), near Merano (Meran); from there, cross the village to the parking area of the Grüner Baum Tavern. Follow trail markings (No. 14, formerly 12/A), slightly uphill, along the Schützeenbründlweg Trail, up to the foot of Rotsteinkogel Knoll, where the Knottnkino (Rock Cinema) is located. The last segment of the hike is short but steep. Enjoy South Tyrol’s very original “cinema”: this extraordinary observation point offers fantastic views of the entire Adige Valley, the Ultner Bergen Mountains and the Orler Massif.
