From the Berggasthof Plätzwiese, walk via a gradually ascending gravel road to the Dürrensteinhutte/Rifugio Valandro. Here begins the main climb to the Strudelkopf and the cross, from where you have a beautiful view of the surrounding peaks and the famous Drei Zinnen.
