Payerhütte, Tabarettahütte and Berglhütte
From hut to hut - a unique landscape
The route starting at Sulden: From Sulden (1906 m) follow track No. 4 westward zigzagging through woodland up to the tree line, then across moraine gravel (still on track No. 4) and steep, grassy slopes up to Tabarettahütte (2556 m; a private shelter; 2 hrs. from Sulden). From here, continue on route/track No. 4 through steep, rocky or stony slopes up to Bärenkopfscharte (2877 m) in the Tabarettakamm, then southward along the ridge on less steep terrain to Payerhütte (3020 m), 3 to 3.5 hrs. from Sulden. – For the descent (around 2.5 hrs.) follow the ascent route or go via Hintergrathütte.
