On the Untersteiner Steig trail to the Marlinger Waalweg trail
The Untersteiner Steig in Marling leads from the car park at the station and the Ladurn pizzeria up to Marlinger Waalweg and Höhenweg.
The Untersteiner Steig trail starts at the Ladurn pizzeria opposite the car park at Marling railway station and leads up to the Marlinger Waalweg and Höhenweg over a distance of just under 600 m and 110 m of altitude. Once you reach the Waalweg, turn left for a few metres, then turn right at night on the tarred road and follow the signs for the Marlinger Henweg. Initially about 200m on a paved road, then on a good path, the Marlinger Höhenweg leads briskly uphill for about a kilometre until you meet a path. From here, continue downhill again following the signs in a few minutes to the Gasthaus Senn am Egg. Continue downhill for about 20 minutes until you reach the junction with trail no. 9 at St. Josef and turn right down to the Waalweg. Follow this in the direction of Marlengo until you meet the Untersteiner Steig trail again, on which you descend to the starting point.
