On the Poststeig Trail from Laion|Lajen to Ortisei|St. Ulrich

The Poststeig route "P" starts in Laion (1,093m; signposted) and leads along a dirt road ascending to the east to Ceves (1,212m; refreshments served). It continues through fields and meadows with panoramic views of the Langkofel mountain. Above the Tanursa hamlet, the trail leads through the forest and at the Felsonnes farms crosses the main street and then reaches S. Pietro (1,211m; refreshments served). From there, follow the partly new road (signposted), and then the ascending paved road to the Pedrutsch inn (1,210m). After the inn, a nearly flat extending forest trail leads to the south above the hermitage of Pontives to a rocky, steep forest slope. The route crosses a falling rock risk area (steep and with handrail, requires experience) and makes a U-turn before reaching the Felsonnes farms. Keep right at the junction, and continue to follow the "P" route to the first houses of Felsonnes, before leading to the Nevelstraße road, and then along the Bahnhofstraße road to the center of Ortisei (1234m; good bus connections).
