Past the tunnels of an old mine we hike uphill through alpine landscape to a great plateau. The view from there compensates us for the efforts of the ascent!
From the car park of the show mine, we follow the signs for the Knappensteig trail. A few metres uphill after the last information board, we reach a summit cross on a small rocky outcrop and a little further up the picturesquely situated Rotalm, which lies on the edge of a small high plateau. From here we return to our starting point on mostly already familiar paths.
