Loop trail around Innichberg Mountain, near San Candido (Innichen)
Breathtaking views of the steep rocks of the Dolomiti di Sesto Mountains
From the parking lot at the eastern end of San Candido (Innichen) at 1,175 metres, follow the street, using the underpass below the bypass road, until the street ends in a fork. Keep right and follow signs for No. 3 through sloping meadows up to the next fork. Here, take the nice, newly constructed hiking trail on the right that leads through pastures and forests, all the way to Stauderhof Tavern (1,437m). Hiking time up to this point is approximately 1 hour. Continue via the low-traffic street past a few farms (Mehlhof, Töter, Singger, Tölderer, Zwigl) for another 45 minutes. At Glinzhof (1,486m), take the dirt road on the left that soon merges with Trail No. M 2 down to Pircher and Huber Farms, down the slopes to the main road through Val Pusteria (Pustertal) Valley, and back to the parking lot. Walking time from Glinzhof to starting point is roughly another hour.
