Leuchtenburg and horse teeth
The starting point of this tour is at the lakeside resort LIDO Kalterer See. The route leads through orchards and vineyards to Klughammer, where we branch off in the direction of Leuchtenburg Castle. This ruin was built around the middle of the 13th century and is characterised by its wall rings. From here we walk through a beautiful deciduous forest to the bizarre Rosszähnen. Here we have a geological curiosity in front of us, because the bizarre rock jags formed during the ice age resemble the teeth of a giant. From here you also have a wonderful view of the Adige Valley. We then climb steeply downhill and reach Klughammer again a little later. After a stop for a swim, we continue our tour around the lake in a southerly direction. It goes through moss landscapes and finally back to LIDO Kalterer See, our starting point.
