The trail to the Kasseler Hütte is easy and rewards with views of the northern flanks of Hochgall and Schneebiger Nock. The Kasseler Hütte has an extensive range of food and drinks. Sufficient snacks are therefore provided. At our destination we are rewarded for the steady and steep ascent in the middle of the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park with a gigantic view. So we have to decide: Do we give our attention to the famous specialities of the Hüttenwirt or to the fantastic rock faces and glacier tongues of Hochgall (3,435 m) and Schneebiger Nock. (3.368 m)
