Hike to the ten famous lakes.

From Tirolo (596 m above sea level, on the road from Merano) by cable car to the Hotel «Hochmut» (1,361 m). We head north and go up to the alpine Hotel «Mutkopf» (1,684 m) on route 22; we continue along the ridge, and, at the intersection (1,820 m), we continue on route 22. At the next intersection we turn left onto the «Jägersteig» path (without going down to the Bockerhütte alpine hut) until we come to route 25, which runs northwest on moderately steep slopes all the way to a mountain pass (Pfitscher Sattel, 2,225 m; rocks with cup marks). We finally reach two beautiful lakes with the meadows of the Oberkaser Mountain farm (2,131 m, with café; 3 hours from the cable car). We return via route 6, which goes down steeply into the valley to the Unterkaser alpine hut, then to the Rifugio Bockerhütte (1,717 m), then to the nearby Spronser Alm alpine hut (1,628 m), through the wood to the Longfall-Alm alpine hut (1,470 m), and finally to the Longfall mountain farm (1,075 m, inn).
