Grieser Sun Hike

From Grieser Platz, with its baroque parish church worth seeing, the path leads north into Martin Knoller Stra&szlig, past the kindergarten and primary school from K & K times. At the end of the street, just after the modern gymnasium, turn left uphill and after a few metres turn right onto the Guntschnapromenade. It is also known as Heinrich-Promenade, named after its founder Archduke Heinrich von Habsburg. The promenade leads in numerous bends through an astonishing botanical diversity, past the former spa hotel Germania, now privately owned, and further up to the main road to Jenesien. On the other side of the road, the trail continues flat for a short while before the marked 5 Reichrieglerweg trail climbs rather steeply to the left. Through the vineyards and past several huts, you reach the road to Jenesien again.
