Great Laranzer Round with Königswarte
A circular hiking trail that can be recommended all year round and has its advantages in every season.
The Laranzer Rundwanderweg is a popular walking trail that offers different variants for all requirements. The tarred access road (marking 7B) first leads past the Mirabell Castle Hotel, farms and further up to the Hotel Rungghof. Soon after, the tarred road turns into a forest road (signposted "Königswarte", "Rundweg Laranz" No. 5), which leads through sunny fields to an old estate. Shortly afterwards, a paved forest road begins, which leads to the popular vantage point - the Königswarte (1150 m). The Königswarte is named after King Friedrich August of Saxony, who liked to come here to enjoy quiet moments. The trail continues through the forest, where the trees provide pleasant shade in summer. At the next crossroads, keep left and continue slightly downhill through the forest. There are benches at regular intervals that invite you to take a short rest. As soon as the forest thins out and opens up towards Telfen/Kastelruth, follow the signs to "Seis" (50 min., no. 5B) on the right,
