Gorge of 1.000 steps

On this moderately difficult to difficult tour, we hike along a section of the Merano Hiking Trail with the 1,000-step gorge via stone, wooden and iron stairs. We climb a good 1,000 metres uphill, hike over many steps (although not quite 1,000), past goats and other animals. An absolute highlight of the tour is, of course, the mountain bridge that takes us over the Lahnbach Gorge. Especially here, this tour offers fantastic views. We hike along varied paths, some of which are secured with chains, and occasionally over stones and roots. Surefootedness is a prerequisite. Sturdy shoes and a good level of fitness are also required for this tour. There are various places to stop along the way, so that the physical well-being is not neglected on this demanding hike.
