Turn-by-turn directions
From Dorfplatz village square in Villandro (880m) the somewhat steep trail no. 3 leads past the church up to the second bend of Villandro Höfestraße farm street (bus stop) and then continues right to the hamlet of Gravetsch (952m). From Gravetsch Castle two parallel hiking trails (no. 3 and no. 3B) lead through the forest, around the ridge of the mountain climbing up to Knappenkapelle St. Anna miners chapel (1,134m), on the north slope of the Fundres mountain. Both paths join shortly before the forest clearing at the chapel. Return along the other route.
Alternative Route
At St. Anna chapel, the route begins, which leads near to several mine shafts of the Villandro mines (Pfunderer Bergwerk) and then meets a forest path. There are tours of the mines on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm, and on Sundays at 10:00 am. With forest path no. 21 you will reach Almstraße pasture road at the Zilderer Kehre turn (1,335m). Return with local bus or descend on foot via Herrenwiesen meadow and Gravetsch to Villandro.
