From Tisens to St. Hippolytus

One of the most famous places of worship in South Tyrol
From Tisens (631 m; road here from Lana via the Gampenstraße) always follow the signs to "St. Hippolyt". Hippolyt", first either on the pavement of the main road or on a slightly higher parallel road northwards, then turn right at the end of the village and take a lovely wide path to the Gruberkeller inn (620 m); here continue left, on the lovely old path, first climbing briefly and then almost level to almost the arched bridge of the Gampenstraße, briefly right up to the road and after crossing it again on a wide path through the forest, partly level, partly slightly uphill to the Church of St. Hippolytus. Hippolyt (758 m; from Tisens 1 hour). - Return: From the church on trail no. 7, first descend over rocky steps on the west side into the "Sautalele", here turn left, past the aforementioned pond to the arched bridge of the Gampenstraße and on the described access trail back to Tisens. From St. Hippolyt 1 hour.
