From the Schnugger to the Taser
From the Schnugger to the family-friendly Taser Alm with a unique view over the Merano valley basin.
Follow the signs for Eggerhof, but stay on the road. If you are not travelling with a pram, you can also follow the path marked 18B. After about 20 minutes we are at Gasthof „Egger“ (1509 m). This is the highest point of our hike and at the same time the entrance to the Taser Höhenweg, which leads from Tall (Hirzer area) via Videgg to Falzeben (Hafling). However, we only walk a very small part of it. The trail is marked No. 40 and leads us through a shady forest with a nice Bächlein. Here the children can roam around a bit. The path becomes a little more exposed and narrow, but without ever really causing any problems. Soon the forest clears and we pass the Gasthof „Greitererhof“ (1470 m), which offers a beautiful panoramic terrace with a view of the Burggrafenamt. From here it is not far to the family alp „Taser“ (1450 m). Stay on trail no. 40, which soon turns into a forest road and then into a tarmac road.
