Looking into the distance
The ridge shoulder of the Köpfelplatte northwest above Tana, which looks down into the valley as a relatively pronounced, even somewhat rocky peak, is a popular vantage point adorned with a few cairns.

Approach from Laas via Alitz to the "Paflur" inn near Tanas (1551 m). From there, continue on the high road for a short while, then turn right on the road leading to the Frinighöfe farms to the Tanas stream and immediately turn right again. From then on, always follow the Mark. K, first along the eastern edge of the meadows of the Oberfrinighof and then through fairly steep larch forests, partly on the wide forest path, up to the Dörfler-Stierhütte, 2244 m; bar; (from the "Paflur" inn, a good 2 hrs.); from there on the Höhensteig (high trail), still marked K, in a half-hour traverse westwards to the Berger-Stierhütte (2198 m), briefly up and westwards in a moderately ascending traverse to the Köpfelplatte (2410 m). From there follow the Unterfrinig trail arrow and the markings down to the tree line, then eastwards across the forest slopes in a moderately steep descent down to Unterfrinighof (1715 m) and on the access path, past the Oberfrinig farm, eastwards back to the starting point;
