From Stilfes to Egg

In Stilfes (962 m) first between the houses to the new club house at the south-western edge of the village and then always following the signpost 15 on the beautiful old trail on a mostly moderate, only in places steeper ascent through the forest to the edge of the extensive meadows of Egg; now through these, slightly ascending past two farms and up to the area of the two inns Egg and Schönblick with the nearby little church (1493 m; from Stilfes 1:30 h.).); from there possibly detour on the little road westwards to the farms at the back. Descent: return briefly on the ascent trail to the fork soon after the Knappenhof farm, now turn right and descend to the Mucherhof farm, then follow the markings through meadows and woods down to the lower Kirchweg, on this trail through the steep woodland slopes, partly level, to a small forest saddle at Burgstall and continue following the markings in a mostly gently descending forest traverse back to Stilfes; from Egg approx. 1:30 hrs.
