From Steinhaus to Bloßenberg
The path leads past the enigmatic Platterwand with its many engravings
At the western edge of Steinhaus im Ahrntal (1045 m, car park on the valley road), always follow marker 8, first briefly uphill, then on a beautiful hiking trail almost level through meadow slopes to the Mairhöfe farms (1095 m), soon after moderately uphill to the Holzbergstraße road, under the Apfalter farms over to the bridge over the Frankbach (waterfalls) beyond, slightly uphill through the forest to a forest road (M 18), on the left flat to the rock face with the engravings and to the nearby Platterhof (1200 m, inn); from Steinhaus a good 1:00 hrs. Descent: Follow the signpost “Mühlegg” on a beautiful, mostly wide footpath through the forest down to meadows and to the uppermost houses of the hamlet of Mühlegg and between them eastwards down to the Bergrichterhaus (Ansitz Mühlegg) and to the valley road (approx. 1030 m).
