From Silandro (721 m) follow trail no. 3 on the path leading up into the Silandro Valley, then turn right and follow trail no. 7 up the steep serpentine path to the Fisolhof farm near Silandro Castle (1060 m, guesthouse, from Silandro just under 1 hour). From there on the access road eastwards and on trail no. 7 up the road in a scenic hike to below the Tappein hut group, where there are no refreshment stops (1397 m; from Schlandersberg 1:00 h). From there, follow the Vinschger Höhenweg eastwards, first through meadows, then through steep dry slopes and finally through the forest, mostly level, in just under 1:00 hrs to the derelict Patsch farm (1428 m). Descent: A few minutes on the trail back, then turn left on trail no. 11, which descends slightly to the west, crossing the grass and forest slopes down to the Tappeiner Hütte access road and then follow trail no. 11, partly on the road, partly
