Challenging and versatile hike in southern South Tyrol

Starting at the chapel at the northern end of Pochi (Buchholz) at 563 m, near the tavern with adjacent parking lot at the road from Salorno (Salurn) take the paved road downhill and keep following the red and white markings. Take the dirt road on the right, still marked in red and white, to the canyon of Laukus Creek. In front of the high stone bridge, follow well-marked Trail No. 7 on the right. The trail leads through the Laukus Valley, passing Amort and Risser Farms up to Bergerhof (871 m). Keep following Trail No. 7 to the  Unterstein and Röll Farms. From here, an old cobble stone road leads through sloping pastures up to the settlement and church of Gfrill (1,328 m, tavern). Walking time from Pochi is approximately 2 1/2 hours. Return following the marking E 5 (European long distance trail), which is at first a dirt road but later turns into a smaller trail heading south, through the forest. After 2 hours, after you reach a stone with a signpost, turn right and take the trail
