The Spronser Seen lakes with Langsee, Grünsee, Kasersee and Pfitschsee are "well known". But Kesselsee, Schiefersee and Schwarzsee? They lie to the north above the Grünsee in a "wild", rustic landscape.

The trail is an ancient Übergang, scenically immensely rewarding, but long and therefore little used. It does not lead to a summit, but at least to more than 2500 m. From the bus stop you hike on Mark. 6 to the left of the village through the forest steeply up to the Faltschnalalm. Initially still quite flat, you continue through the Faltschnal valley, then it becomes increasingly steeper and through alpine meadows and scrub you go up to the Faltschnaljoch. There you have almost reached the top and continue relatively flat up to the Spronser Joch. On a clear day, the distant view and the view of the lakes below are overwhelming. The descent is relatively steep to the Schiefersee and Grünsee lakes and on to the Oberkaser. (If you are pressed for time, you can spend the night there.) You continue on Mark. 22 (the descent through the Spronser Tal valley is a rather joyless „hike“) and arrive on the Jägersteig üvia the Mutkopf to the mountain station of the Hochmuth cable car.
