The high path to the statue of Christo Pensante on the Monte Castellazzo, between the Fleimstal/Val di Fiemme Valley and Primiero is non-negotiable.

The spectacular view from this unique elevation is truly fantastic: the untouched valley Val Venegia, run through by the river Travignolo, the scattered alps along the meadows on the pass Rolle and the steep peaks of the Pale di San Martino are only some of the images, likely to be captured on photos. You park your car on the parking area close to the pass Rolle (1980 m). Continuing on the mildly steep path, you reach the hut Capanna Cervino (1082 m, 25 minutes). The path already offers some nice views and leads across meadows and pastures, reaching the alp Segantini (2174 m) at the feet of the peak Cimon delle Pala. Those who are truly lazy or those who use this alp as a starting point for another tour can reach this place also by using the bus (information in the tourist’s office Fleimstal/Val di Fiemme).
