Feldthurns Chestnut Hiking Trail

Starting from the Unterwirt and following trail no. 12, the trail first leads to the little church of St. Anthony, then straight on to the Radoar and Moar farms, slightly ascending on the right through woods to the farm access road and on this (always trail no. 12) to the chestnut grove and the lonely Weinbrennerhof farm (860 m). Continue on trail 12 through forest and meadows crossing the slopes to the Moar zu Viersch farm with its beautiful Josefskapelle chapel (863 m). From there, descend to the Pardell hut group (775 m; chapel with memorial plaque from the wars of liberation) and now follow trail no. 1 on a narrow access road past huts in hairpin bends down to Säben (729 m; visit the historic sites and the beautiful churches: Deep view of Klausen). - The castle rock of Säben has been inhabited since prehistoric times, in the second half of the 1st millennium it was the seat of the bishop who moved to Brixen in the 10th century, later the castle of the Lords of Säben and finally,
