Excursion to various scenic lakes in the furthermost corner of the Val d'Ultimo (Ultental) Valley

From Santa Gertrude (St. Gertraud) at 1,519 m, the trail leads into the valley on the shadowy, northwestern side of the wooded slopes; keep left. Trail No. M107 takes you in a long but beautiful ascent up to Fiechtalm Mountain Pasture (2,034 m). Keep following the same trail uphill, than more or less flat across the forested slopes to Fischersee Lake (2,068 m), through a little valley, and south up to Wasserfallsee and Langsee Lake (2,340 m). Walking time from the village to this point is approximately 3 hours. Pludersee Lake (2,483 m) and Schwärzersee Lake (2,544 m) are worth a detour and add around 45 minutes to  your total walking time. From Langsee Lake go back to the little lake near Fischersee and follow the wide trail to Weisbrunn See (retaining lake), from here, follow the road and frequent short cut trails back to Santa Gertrude.
