The rewarding traverse of the Schwarzhorn from the Jochgrimm to the Kugeljoch leads through steep grassy slopes.
From Jochgrimm, the trail leads uphill through meadows and Swiss stone pine forest to the timberline. Past the mountain station, the hike leads on a scree path via the north-west ridge to the summit with cross (2439 m). Follow trail mark 502 to the steep, grassy southern flank of the mountain and down to the Obere Kugelalm (1897 m). Through a hollow you reach the Kugeljoch (1923m). Turn right here and take the cart track (marked 4) through the forest back to the starting point.
