Stunning rocky landscape
This hike leads from Passo Gardena (Grödner Joch) Pass to the Rifugio Puez (Puezhütte) mountain hut.

Approach: from Selva (Wolkenstein) in Val Gardena (Gröden) either by bus up to the Passo Gardena (Grödner Joch) Pass (2,137 m; restaurants) or using Dantercëpies cable car to the mountain station, northwest above the pass (2,298 m). High Trail: From Passo Gardena, take Trail No. 2 or take Trail No. 2a from the Dantercëpies station, heading basically northeast, towards the Ütia Clark (Clarkhütte) mountain hut (2,222 m). From there, stay with Trail No. 2 over a rocky hillside then between bizarre rock formations up through the Danter les Pizes (Cirjoch) Pass (2,469 m); on the other side, there is a practically flat slope crossing and a short ascent over to Creispeinajoch Pass (2,528 m). On the north side, there are steep switchbacks down to the basin of Crespeinasee Lake and then you head across the vast, rocky Crespeina de dite Plain (mostly flat almost the whole way), northeast to Ciampëi Pass (2,388 m).
