Bolzano's Lungotalvera (Wassermauer) Promenade
Bolzano's most centrally situated promenade, which runs along the parks near the Talvera (Talfer) River
From the centre of Bolzano’s old town, walk through the portici (Lauben), or covered arcades, to the fruit market. Continue along Via Museo (Museumstraße) until you reach Ponte Talvera (Talferbrücke) Bridge. Without crossing the bridge, turn right and walk along the East Lungo Talvera (Wassermauer) Promenade, which runs along the east side of the river and is nearly flat, heading north until you reach the Ponte San Antonio (Sankt-Anton-Brücke) Bridge. Cross over to the west side of the Talvera (Talfer) River and follow along the road just south and then along the West Lungo Talvera Promenade. You’ll pass through a beautiful park, where you’ll find a playground, restaurants, etc. until you reach Ponte Talvera Bridge again. Cross it, and head back to Via Museo and the starting point.
