On the Ötzi Trail to the Dickeralm and Upper Moaralm
The starting point is the valley station of the Unterstell cable car in Naturno (550 m). The cable car takes you up to Unterstell at 1282 m above sea level. Follow the asphalted road no. 10 A/10 to Patleid (1386 m) and turn right on trail no. 10 past the Lint Inn (1464 m). Here you hike only briefly on the Meraner Höhenweg (no. 24) until you reach the next fork. Follow the asphalted road straight ahead, continuing on trail no. 10 (A7 – archaeological trail). At the end of the road, a hiking trail begins that leads under the rocky wall to the Dickhof farm (1709 m). After the farm, follow the right fork on trail no. 10 to the rustic Dickeralm (2060 m). This path shortens the route considerably compared to the serpentine road, which also leads through the forest. Once at the top, it is recommended to take a proper rest before returning; here you have the feeling that time has stood still for a long time.
