Around the Sam

From Laurein (1148 m) always following the M. 26 first on a narrow road through meadows and past farms up to the forest, then through meadows and past farms up to the forest, then through this on a forest road up to the hay huts and mountain meadows of Rentsch; now through flatter forest terrain and crossing slopes into the dilapidated alpine hut Sam (1777 m), following the M. 26 partly level, partly slightly ascending through forest and meadows northwards to trail 5 branching off to the right. Follow this southeastwards to the nearby Britschner Alm (1848 m), then on an old military trail (always M. 5) in a long hike, partly level, partly slightly descending, mostly through forest to the high moor Langmoos (approx. 1570 m), continue to the junction with trail 1 and finally on this trail, finally on a narrow road past the farms Eggern and Kerschmern, southwestwards down to Laurein.
