Around the Braies Lake

The mountain lake nestles in the middle of the mountains of the popular Fanes-Sennes-Prags Nature Park and is the starting point for many a tour into the surrounding mountain world. That is also the catch: you will probably never find peace and idyll at the Pragser Wildsee. Some just pass it quickly on their way to the mountains, but many also come to the lake because of the great location and the picturesque postcard view. The lime-white walls of the Seekofel are reflected in the deep green water - breathtaking. So if you're looking for peace and quiet, it's better to look down on the lake from the mountains. An early arrival might also make for a little less activity. But even if there is a lot going on: anyone in the area should not miss this natural spectacle. The contemporary history archive in the Pragser Wildsee hotel is also worth seeing and you can also take a look at the small chapel on the shore of the lake.
