This circular hike goes from Jenesien to the high plateau of the Salten. We enjoy the breathtaking views of the Adige Valley, the Bolzano basin and the striking peaks of the Dolomites.

This hike takes us from Jenesien to the high plateau of the Salten on the southern slope of the Tschöggelberg. The Tschögglberg is a low mountain range that borders the Etschtal valley to the west, the Bozen valley basin to the south, the Sarntal valley to the east and the Meran 2000 ski area to the north. From the Salten we – surrounded by beautiful vegetation – have a wonderful view of the Schlern and the Rosengarten massif south of Bozen. Through sparse lush forests we reach numerous alpine pastures and inns, where we can fortify ourselves with culinary delights and enjoy the view of the surrounding mountain landscape.
