Alpine hut in the vicinity of the Rabbi pass (between Trentino and South Tyrol), only a few minutes from the ice-age Lake Corvo, on the border of the Rabbi valley and the Ultimo valley in the Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio (national park). Well suited for families with children.

From Piazzola up to the village Cavallar. You either start from the parking area above the village (1,450 m) oder take the shuttle bus to the Samocleva alp (1,892 m; reservation needed). Once at the alp, you can enjoy the view onto the Rabbi valley. The path no. 108, running along the lake Corvo’s stream, leads into the valley. You cross the river and reach the Upper Caldes alp. Here you continue on the grassy ridges, while enjoying the view onto the Brenta Dolomites and the Presanella mountains. Eventually, you will reach the alpine hut Stella Alpina close to the Lake Corvo (2,425 m). Longer path:      From the alpine hut you take the path no. 145 uphill and reach, through pans and boulders, the peak of the Collecchio (2,495 m), where you can enjoy the view over the Upper Saènt valley. On the way down you will pass the Schwarzer Joch (2,825 m). Continue on the path no. 107 to the alpine hut Salènt “Dorigoni”.
