About the Titschen

In the two idyllic hamlets of Bauernkohlern and Herrenkohlern on Bolzano's local mountain, time seems to have stood still. In the past, Bauernkohlern was a popular summer resort for the wealthy people of Bolzano, but now it is an excursion destination for everyone. Bolzano's local mountain, also known as the city's green lung, has been a landscape conservation area for decades. Outdoor sports enthusiasts and nature lovers come to enjoy the wonderful nature with green meadows and forests and the best viewing spots. Hiking trails start directly at the mountain station of the Kohler cable car and open up this natural paradise. Our circular hike takes us without difficulty to the Titschenwarte, a great vantage point, on to the summit, the Titschen, and via the Schneiderwiesen inn back to Kohlern.
