Uphill St. Martin im Kofel with Annenberg Easy Trail

From the cable car, follow the cycle path in the direction of Merano; in the neighbouring village of Castelbello, the climb begins üe via the road. As we are on the Sonnenberg, it is advisable to avoid the hottest time of day, at least in summer, but in spring and autumn it is wonderful here. The road up the mountain actually only divides once, (don't go towards Trumsberg, but towards St. Martin), we keep to the left. Follow the road to the highest point, the mountain station of the St. Martin im Kofel cable car. Here there is actually only an inn and the small church. The first part is on the same path back down into the valley, until the Annenberg Easy Trail starts to the right at an elevation of 1,500 metres. After the trail section, the trail continues on a rather steep forest road to the downhill's namesake: Annenberg. Never let too much speed build up here to always be on the safe side.
