The access road up to the Schnugger is little used and is pleasantly shaded in the morning. Shortly after the Schnuggerhof, you reach the Bannwaldweg, a beautiful forest road that gets a little steeper and also a little rough in the upper part. This is followed by an easy summit tour.
Merano–Schenna–Schnugger–Bannwaldweg (e-bike) At the post office bridge in Merano (320 m) follow the cycle path signs „Passeiertal“ (red signs) through Elisabethpark (marble statue „Sissi“) and über the path facilities of the promenade upärts (always red cycle path signs), whereby bikers and pedestrians share the promenade. Shortly before a stone bridge, the promenade ends (several signs). Turn hard right (cycle path signs in red „Trauttmansdorff“) and go up to the main road, which you cross. On the opposite side of the zebra crossing, briefly follow the narrow road and then turn left (cycle path sign „Trauttmansdorff“) into Kirchsteig. Follow this uphill to Brunnenplatz. Cross the street, past the fountain and next to the bank building up Reichenbachgasse to the main street. Turn right and then immediately left into Pröfingergasse. Follow the narrow lane to its end, then continue left to a crossroads. There you will find the cycle path signs to Schenna. Follow the Naifweg to the
