City - country - river
From the city of Merano along the Passer and up to Schenna and St. Georgen.

Enter directly from Elisabethpark in the centre of Merano on the well-signposted cycle path towards Passeier. After approx. 6.5 km you cross a prominent wooden bridge over the Passer, leave the cycle path sharply to the right and follow the road past the Maiser Waalweg to Schenna. From the tourist office in Schenna, continue along Schennastraße in the direction of Meran. Shortly afterwards you come to an unobtrusive fork in the road, turn left onto the Goyenweg (partly gravel). Just before the castle, follow the signs to St. Georgen. Follow St. Georgenstrasse to the village and follow the signs to the Rastlhof (refreshment stop). From the Rastlhof, return to the first crossroads and turn left to the Salfgut snack station. Below the farm, signposted Rastensteinweg / Ifinger cable car (forest path), you reach the asphalted Gsteierweg, which you follow for approx. 350 m down the valley. Turn left (Ifinger cable car), first on the forest path, then over a short sloping section to Vernaun
