One of the most beautiful cross-country ski tracks. Gentle ups and downs, on high altitudes, exceptional panorama and mountain scenery.

This is only one of the routes in the Lessinia cross-country ski area. You can combine it with others, add more difficult stretches and do variants, when the tracks are prepared.

Author’s recommendation

In addition to considering variants, you can also:

> Ascend one of the nearby summits (Monte Tomba, Point 1697, Monte Castelberto).

> You can visit agriturismo Podesteria.

Turn-by-turn directions

From the big parking place near the hut on Bocca di Selva you start the route by ascending northwards. To the highest point west of Monte Tomba you gain some more than 150 m, but the hill up is nowhere too steep.

Then the track starts descending gently, or going mostly on the same altitude. In a long arc you ski slightly down to the Podesteria crossroads and from there continue westwards. The track all the time follows the mountain road, winding around gentle ridges and into shallow valleys. So you reach the Castelberto crosstoads.

(From the Castelberto crossroads you can continue by the road northwards on the summit of Monte Castelberto - when the track is arranged.)

The return goes by the same route, or, when the track is arranged, you can return to Bocca di Selva more westwards.

By road

From Verona you drive northwards on Monte Lessini, aiming the tourist center San Giorgio. Just before reaching it, turn left and drive by good asphalt road on Bocca di Selva.

Parking

Big free parking place on Bocca di Selva.

Beautiful, warm day. We carried rucksacks with some equipment, so we were a bit slow. Also ascended the Point 1697 m.
