The Falkner Promenade has been established on initiative of Hans Norman Falkner (1906-1988) from Austria. Dorf Tirol/Tirolo was his adopted village.

The promenade surrounds Dorf Tirol from the petrol station to the west edge of the village and offers a panoramic view on St. Peter's Church, Tyrol Castle and Thurnstein Castle as well as the entire basin of Merano.
