Easy route. From Basel, the city with the densest cultural offering in all of Europe, we cycle through the largest cherry-growing region in Switzerland, the Baselbiet. From Aarau, the town with late Gothic and Baroque terraced houses with richly decorated gabled roofs, we continue via Lucerne, the gateway to central Switzerland, to Stans.

>

On the second stage from Stans, the demands increase. Through Uri, the most important Alpine transit route between north and south, over the Gotthard Pass through Ticino, Switzerland's sunniest region, to the southernmost point of Switzerland, Chiasso.

The second stage from Stans is more demanding.
