The starting point of the 2nd stage of the South Tyrolean Cycling Track is the spa town of Merano/Meran. The track leads in southern direction passing Lana and Sinigo/Sinich. After cycling through apple trees you follow the track along the river Adige/Etsch towards Vilpian and castle Firmiano/Firmian. From here the tour continues along the mountain “Mitterberg”, through Appiano/Eppan and Caldaro/Kaltern until you reach the lake Lago di Caldaro/Kalterer See. Leading through the Bassa Atesina/Südtiroler Unterland, passing Ora/Auer and Laives/Laifers, you continue in direction of Bolzano/Bozen, which you reach after having passed the river outfall of the Adige/Etsch.
