To conquer a mountain
Steep hike in the Passo del Brennero, ideal in winter and spring

Ascent: we go up to the Luco alpine hut, 1,601 m (Luegeralm) from behind the small church. There are two possible routes: either we go straight along the summer route no. 12 through the wood, or we turn right and take the track with hairpin bends. Once we reach the Luco alpine hut we go from the top edge of the meadow up the valley through a wood. We keep slightly to the left and reach the beginning of a wide, steep hollow. We go almost all the way across this hollow and come out on the right-hand side on a mound. The terrain turns less steep here and we enter the valley with a slight bend to the right. We continue on a moderately steep slope and first we go straight ahead, then left, then right until we reach the beginning of the south-western crest of the Spina del Lupo (Wolfendorn). In good and safe conditions we can cut across to the left towards the north-western shoulder, and briefly on the north side, then right towards the summit, or we can leave our skis somewhere convenient
