Nice ski tour (ZS-) on a great panoramic mountain in a beautiful landscape, not recommended for pure downhill ski tourers due to the long flat sections, the few steep steps require good avalanche conditions
The ski tour on the Scheienfluh, called Schijenflue in Swiss, is a moderate ski tour with its 1,100 m ascent (duration: 4.5 h) and descent, as well as its 15 km route. It runs mainly in the south-east and north-east exposures. In the ski touring eldorado of St. Antönien, you are mostly alone on the Scheienfluh, or at least the crowds are not out here. This is probably due to the many, very flat sections. There you have to push in some places on the descent. This is quite exhausting, especially when there is fresh snow, but it is quite easy in spring when there is slight spring snow. Nevertheless, the route offers a lot. The landscape is beautiful and the individual steep steps offer downhill fun. In addition, from the summit you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Sulzfluh, the Drusenfluh and the entire ski touring area around St. Antönien. Because of the steep steps, you also need good avalanche conditions here.
